I really like how textural your piece is. I can tell that you used a lot of fabrics and it looks tactile, like I would be able to tell what each element feels like just by looking at it.
I find your color choices interesting and they all combine with the fabric and the lace and florals to give me a very feminine feeling. I find it interesting that you have the black studded stuff in the top left and that it is so contrasting both in color and style, yet it doesn’t look unfit in the image.
I would like to see maybe a little less dramatic of a transition between the three sections, or maybe something a little less abstract. It’s hard for me to know what I’m looking at, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just a personal preference. You did a great job portraying a feeling with the piece of softness and femininity.
I enjoy the use of texture and the experimentation of the different elements within the piece. The arrangement of the images strengthens this work. I like the repetition of color to balance the the piece. I also like the use of the blur on certain parts of the work to help with the sense of depth.
I would like to see a way to tie in the dark texture in the upper left hand corner a little better, possibly by adding black subtly else where in the piece, or by blending the top two textures together more.
I think this image is extremely interesting. I love the use of the textures and the blending of the images. Though everything is so different it fits so very well. The purples and the yellows work very well to bring the image together and create a conformity that works very well. I like that everything look very focused and though everything looks so rich the central rose is large and central creating a define focus. I think the composition works very well. The use of colour and placements keep is uniformed. The placement of the objects give the sense of floating or flying as they are also seeming to be doing so in a large room. My biggest issue with the piece is the top section. I feel that the large area of the black bracelet and the green areas are so dark and heavy. It is almost as if it is crushing the rest of the image. It definitely feels top heavy. It isn’t that that top is so dark or the objects there, I think there is just a lot more there and the area is so thick compare to the area of the bottom. It is also much more filled than the middle and the bottom. It is still an amazing piece that I think was executed well.
The colors and the textures of this piece are definitely the focus. The colors are bright but none of them random as there are at least two uses of each color within the piece which unifies the scheme. The fabric and lace are my favorite and i think that the blend into the lace works nicely. The blend on the bottom gives a feeling that you are bringing the outside in, or that it's creeping in on it's own. It also provides an interesting contrast between the indoor wall space and corners with the outside; something you dont see every day!
Because each line sits on a third, I'm tending to look at one section at a time, from left to right, like i'm reading a book instead of considering the piece as a whole. I think if you dropped or raised a horizon line, the flow would work much better. Also, the bracelets on the top left bother me a little bit because it's very dark and seems to abruptly end on the right side, but fades at the bottom.
