Chou- The overall composition is really nice. I think the strength of this artist was that they used good complimenting colors. The image as a whole blends together very well. It uses the 3rd ratio, with the water, landscape and sky. It has a good balance of all the objects. The lilies in the image are scattered not in one spot, which gives the image depth and balance. You can see the objects in the background fading off to give good value of the image. I like how the water has a light tint of purple in it and how the sky has a light tint of blue it really fits well. It has good texture. When you look up close you can see that it centers a image in the middle, the flower pops out more than anything else in the image.
I think maybe the sunlight should have been just a little bit darken some of it so that it wasn’t so bright. Just to clean up the side of the image on the far left, it seems somewhat too bright in contrast to the rest of the image. Maybe brought of some of the images in the orange, sunlight area, so that it has just more detail rather than a black spot?
I really love the beautiful colors in this image. The pinks, blues, and purples work very well together and although being very vibrant, they create a relaxing scene. This image seems like a sunset that one might imagine rather than one that is scene with the eye. I think you did a beautiful job of balancing the brightness values of the pinks and the blues. The lilypads are a great way of adding the pop of a complimentary color in the bottom. The black and gold in the middle of the image breaks up the vibrant colors perfectly. I also like the indigo and blue around the pink because this definitely ties in the idea of reflections and water and really keeps the image whole. The only thing that could maybe be tweaked is the brightness of the gold and yellow in the middle. There is one area where the light is so bright it almost turns white. If there was a way to turn down that brightness without losing the glowing effect of the sunset, I think this would add to the image because that area would attract a little less attention.
Great use of color and images. I really like the transition that is made from the top purple into the yellow. It is very well considered and makes a very interesting aspect of the composition to view. I also like the hidden textures behind the color. They are integrated nicely and are very intriguing to the eye. The separation of the image into three parts is accomplished very well, however the transition to the bottom section might be more considered just a little bit more. The very bottom of the image is interesting and fun to look at. The lilly pads are cool, but one of them I'm confused about. There is a hidden texture behind one of the lilly pads. It distorts the pad which may or may not be intentional, but for me it does not enhance the lilly pad as much as if it was still the same as the other pads. I really liked the rest of the bottom of the image and the whole composition too. Very well considered and executed.
I am infatuated with the whole surreal look. The picture has a abstract feel to it but at the same time it feels dream like. It would make a nice getaway for just strolling to contemplate life or future aspirations. It is very comforting.
The lotuses add a very nice touch to the composition and the texture of the water interacting with the road is gorgeous. The colors are brilliant and dominant, after the sky then there's a break to give that straight line of darkness with the background image then its back to the color of the water.
The sky however would have went well for me personally if it had a slightly more realistic attempt just like the water or the dark background it looks a bit more abstract than the coinciding images in the picture.
I really love how the color looks like its burining in a way, because that birght color is so close to the black. I think you did a good job putting the key board into the sky, it makes it very interesting. The lillys at the bottom cools down the picture, you see this fire color then at the bottom its pretty blue with lillys then back at the very top its also a cool color, this makes for a vert eye capturing photo.
If anything maybe add a few more pictures into this, I dont know what you could add to this, without making it too much.
I really enjoy this photo, it was put together very well, and it makes you want to look at it.
